In-Home Training

The first step to successful in-home training is the consultation. This one hour in-depth assessment is designed to identify your needs and target your specific goals. We will work together on training challenges and we will motivate your dog to change any unwanted behavior.

Everyone who lives with your dog should be involved with the training. Training sessions should take place in an environment with few distractions, such as a quiet room in your home. As your dog becomes more comfortable with the commands, we will instruct you on adding distractions, such as having other people in the room.

To start, we train with rewards because this method will clearly let your dog know that you are proud of him when he performs the commands correctly. Training treats are very effective because your dog will associate a positive action with a tasty reward. Every dog we train will receive a sampling of soft training treats and a training journal. The cost of the journal is $20.00.
